We are here to make sure that all City University students have the best possible experience of University life. This role covers three main aspects of work:
We have a wide range of information on everything from tube and bus maps, to leaflets on renting private accommodation. Leaflets are available in our reception area. These are free for you to pick up and we also have friendly staff on hand to answer any questions that you might have. In addition to this, our information pages on this website and our CitySpace module contain useful information on various aspects of living in London and University life.
There may be times when students face problems with their course. A variety of reasons could cause such problems for example, personal circumstances, harassment and bullying, accusations of misconduct, failing examinations or disciplinary issues. The SIRC provides confidential, professional advice on an individual basis to students with such problems. For more information on our advice service, please see the advice pages.
The SIRC supports the student body with raising issues and promoting improvements within courses, schools, and the University as a whole. This involves supporting course representatives and providing opportunities for all students to have their say on hot topics. For more information, please see the representation pages.
