The President's Ball was a really fun event to attend. It made a nice change from the usual events that the SU holds (i.e. raves!) and was a true celebration of the achievements of past and present students at City. I had a great time, it was a fun occasion that I got to dress up for! And even those people who enjoy raving had a good time... it was really like a posh piss up, where those attendees who were beautifully composed and amazingly dressed at the start of the night ended up on their arses at the end after all the speeches!

I thought it was a great night, the talks and awards were interesting and the venue, music and general atmosphere was great as it wasn't your typical night out. Food was a bit poor but hardly ruined the night.

The Presidents' Ball was wicked! The band was excellent and the food was great too! It has to be done again!

The Presidents Ball was a great event. The food was great and the live band was fantastic. I hope that in the future a lot more students will enjoy events like this as much as I did. It was also great to see other sport teams and hear about their achievments since we do not interact that much during term time.
Thank you for a great experience.

The Ball was an amazing night, me and all the girls I went with had a fantastic evening. The band were really good as well. I can't fault the night at all, it would have been great if it was a little longer. I would definetly go again and encourage more people too. It was great to get involved in a City event as everyone tends to do their own thing.

The 2008 Presidents' Ball was a tremendous night that waved goodbye to the President in style. One of the best elements of the night, I felt, was the fantastic live band, who provided a fresh and exciting alternative to just having a DJ all night. Despite the diversity amongst the guests, the band managed to get near enough everyone on the floor in 2 to 3 songs, and belted out some Earth Wind & Fire, Tom Jones and Wild Cherry to keep the party going! The fact that the party carried on until 1AM was also a big bonus; events such as these often end prematurely, but I really felt like the Presidents' Ball was a well-rounded and a superb night out. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it was one of the best nights I've ever had, so thanks alot and good luck Gaurav!!

The President's Ball was an event that really did CUSU proud. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the achievements of the student union, especially to those who still don't know what the Students' Union is about. It was great to see current students, staff and alumni come together to celebrate CUSU's achievements. This night was one of the highlights of my time at City. I look forward to attending as an Alumni.

The Presidents' Ball was one if the best nights I have had at City in the last four years. I regularly go to all the events and have enjoyed my university experience to the max. At the ball I really felt part of a community and one of the highlights was seeing our team (Womens Basketball) win club of the year. It was great to see other teams and socialise with them too. The band was brilliant and it gave students a chance to really dress up. The SU staff did a great job and fun was had by all!
