Welcome to the Islamic society

 

For over 10 years now, the City University Islamic Society has been at the forefront of student activities. Its primary purpose is to cater for the needs of our Muslim students and to promote the ideals of Islam to non-muslims in the university. We are here for ALL muslims, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or sect. We have a proud history of non-partisanship and are in strict adherence to the Quran and Sunnah. We are located in the basement of the Gloucester building and have 2 large prayer rooms with seperate Wudu Facilities.

 

What does the Islamic Society provide?

  • Prayer Rooms & Wudu facilities (for brothers & sisters)
  • Jum'ah Khutbah and Salah (Friday Prayers)
  • FREE Iftar during Ramadan (Hot Food)
  • FREE literature, tapes, CDs, books, Quran for both Muslims and Non-Muslims
  • Major Annual events such as Discover Islam Week & Annual Dinner
  • Regular lectures given by scholars and students of knowledge
  • Regular weekly study circles in the prayer room
  • Course Representatives to help and give you guidance on your studies
  • 5 A-Side football (on a weekly basis)

  • Arrange for Halal food to be served within the University and much more.
