Student Union Societies are set up to help students come together for a wide range of non-competitive activities. We currently have over 30 societies here at City covering a wide range of interests (click on the link below for a full list). Societies decide on and organise their own activities and these may include outings, visiting speakers, social events and parties. Societies are run by their own committee with the support of the Union. The Union will help with the initial setting up of the Society, event organisation and room bookings. If you are interested in a forming a society around a particular topic, and can show that there is sufficient demand, we will help you set one up. Financial support can be applied for to help you run your Society’s activities. To find out more, come to the Student Activities Pod in the Hub.
