About the ski trip operator www.onthepiste.com and resort information:

On the Piste are well regarded as the UK’s leading student snowsports specialists. We have a strong relationship with a large number of British University snowsports clubs as we continue to provide a high level of service year on year to all our groups.
We have been operating for over 10 years and our full time staff have more than 30 years experience in running alpine holidays for student groups. Central to our ethos is tailoring our packages to suit each groups requirements to ensure each group has the best holiday possible.

All bookings are taken through an online booking system. The system offers a secure simple booking process together with extra features including: The ability for passengers to log in and edit personal options; amendable extra option process that can be adapted to suit your groups’ needs.

While in resort reps are on hand 24 hours and will see each member of the group daily on room rounds. On the majority of our holidays we have one full time member of office staff based in resort to oversee and manage the resort.
The accommodation we offer is generally all self catered apartments, we are not tied in with any specific supplier and can offer the best option for your group ensuring that you are all under one roof. The apartments are all self contained with minimum facilities including balcony, bathroom, toilet, kitchenette and living area.
The now legendary On the Piste Card is widely known across all our resorts and means we get the best discounts in bars and restaurants possible.

In each of our resorts we have fantastic drinks deals and free club entry set up which can be accessed through presentation of the famous ‘Piste Card’. Recognized by 100’s of drinking establishments across the Alps we can offer exclusive drinks deals across the board. No other student tour operator offers such a wide spread discount card, with up-to-date deals for your whole group. This combined with our fully loaded social programme means in each of the resorts you are guaranteed to experience more with On the Piste!

Les Arcs Ski Area - An efficient and modern system of lifts link the ski stations of Arc 1600, Arc 1800, the newly built Arc 1950 and Arc 2000 together with the traditional villages of Vallandry, Peisey, Nancroix and Villaroger. Les Arcs offers a network of linked skiing that varies from the Glacier du Varet at more than 3000 metres to the wide open bowl surrounding Arc 2000 and forested descents to the lower villages. The entire domain comprises 114 pistes of all grades: a resort with plenty to offer for all standards. A large and varied area of nursery slopes are situated immediately in front of Arc 1800 close to all the village facilities and served by a number of chair and drag lifts. Those that prefer to stay within the trees have arguably the best tree skiing in the French Alps to attack, a day in and around the Vallandry area comes highly recommended. The best advanced area of skiing is accessed via the Aiguille Rouge telecabine in the highest sector of the Les Arcs ski area. There are many steep red and black runs on the slopes parallel to the infamous flying kilometre, descending into the Arc 2000 bowl. The resort has endless opportunities for off-piste skiing and boarding and a well-equipped snowpark.

Apres Ski - Arc 1800 is one of the most student friendly resorts in the Alps, with loads of restaurants, bars and kebab shop (cunningly named Le Kebab). The biggest bar in town is Red Hot Saloon where you will find plenty of atmosphere especially when a live band is playing. Chez Bou Bou’s is the perfect starting place for those accommodated in Charvet, they have been friends of On the Piste for years and to show this bond you will find a shot of rum (or two..) provided ‘gratis’ with all drinks purchased. The Ambiente Café and Before Café sit next door and both indulge you with a real mix of tunes and a large volume of toffee vodka which we assure you are not to be missed. The Apokalypse is a truly a great venue and is now the only choice for those who like to keep going till the early hours, trust us this place rocks!
