Welcome to the cricket club

Net practice will continue for the whole year until the fixtures for the BUSA(British Universities Sports Association) tournament are released which is probably going to be the end of April. We have one side in the BUSA competition and two in the SESSA. BUSA is the main tournament in which we play full 50 overs per side matches against other universities. There is also an incentive for you to play for the club which is if we qualify the group stages and we are good enough to get to the finals we might get media coverage which include newspaper and probably local sports channel as well!. So if you want to be part of the team and want to experience the thrill then start coming to nets!.

Teams for the competition are selected on merit. Unfortunately for the BUSA tournament we can play only one team and taking in account the number of cricket loving people in the university there is a lot of competition!. If you are good enough and you think that you deserve to be in the team then you have to come to nets regularly.

Last year we did pretty well and finished mid table but this year we are in an easier division so our eyes are on the sheild.

Other then cricket we will also be arranging other activities like dinners and trips. All the information will be available on this page so keep visiting the website.
